Crop Grant Supports Oregon Berry Festival;
Free Berry Vendor Space Available
With
a grant from the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Specialty
Crop Grant program the Oregon berry industry is moving forward with
an Oregon Berry Festival.
Scheduled to be held at the Ecotrust Building in Portland July 22&
23, the event will include sampling of ice creams, pies, cobblers,
jams, strawberry shortcake plus unexpected taste treats like Marionberry
BBQ sauce, red raspberry beer, cranberry chocolates, natural blueberry
soda and much more.
This is a fun family event with children’s activities, live
entertainment on the “Blues Berry” stage, a Portland
chef berry cook-off and a chance to win a berry hued bucket bike
and eat your fill of Oregon berries.
Admission is free! Open from noon to six on Friday, July 22 and
11 am to six on Saturday, July 23.

The event coordinators are now accepting vendors, volunteers and
entertainment submissions.
Check back on the site soon to buy tickets to the Gala Berry Dinner
prepared by Executive Chef Phillipe Boulot and held at the Heathman
Hotel on Saturday, July 23.
