Specialty Crop Grant Supports Oregon Berry Festival;
Free Berry Vendor Space Available

With a grant from the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Specialty Crop Grant program the Oregon berry industry is moving forward with an Oregon Berry Festival.

Scheduled to be held at the Ecotrust Building in Portland July 22& 23, the event will include sampling of ice creams, pies, cobblers, jams, strawberry shortcake plus unexpected taste treats like Marionberry BBQ sauce, red raspberry beer, cranberry chocolates, natural blueberry soda and much more.

This is a fun family event with children’s activities, live entertainment on the “Blues Berry” stage, a Portland chef berry cook-off and a chance to win a berry hued bucket bike and eat your fill of Oregon berries.

Admission is free! Open from noon to six on Friday, July 22 and 11 am to six on Saturday, July 23.

Visit the event website OregonBerryFestival.com for more information.

The event coordinators are now accepting vendors, volunteers and entertainment submissions.

Check back on the site soon to buy tickets to the Gala Berry Dinner prepared by Executive Chef Phillipe Boulot and held at the Heathman Hotel on Saturday, July 23.
